It’s important for you to enable the comment on your website in order for the visitor to drop their views / comments that they have on the topics published that on your website. There are some websites that don’t allow people to comment especially if their topic is a controversial topic as they are afraid that the visitor might drop a negative comment on their website. Webmaster should not be afraid of the negative comment but they should always open up to the comment. Instead of disabling them, you could enable the approval of comment before publishing. Wit this, you can filter out those irrelevant comments.
Building An Online Community #2 – Promote through Social Media
In order for to build your online community, you can start promoting by using the social media. All you need to do is to incorporate social media plugins (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, Google+) on your website to encourage people to join your online community. Once they are in your community, you can then start up interesting discussion related to your business niche to let the dialogue rolling between you and your visitors. Besides that, this method is also a great way to find ideas of discussion that you should talk about on your website as you know what is the feedback that your social media followers on their interests and their needs.
Building An Online Community #3 – Organizing Loyalty Program
People will tend to interact more when there is prize to giveaway to attract them. I myself have tested using this approach and this method has being proven working where I am using this as part on strategy to increase interaction between the visitors. There are some loyalty plugin where you can enable onto your website. The visitor will start to earn points everytime he/she re-visit your website, leave a comment or even share it onto their face. Once they have sufficient points, the can use it to redeem the catalogue that you offers. It’s a cool way that you can use to engage your visitors.
